Designer (ENSCI), cabinet maker (BOULLE), researcher, teacher (Ensci, ESAD, State Collège…) and design director, JBSB elaborates his design while keeping the “savoir faire” at the heart of the project. His work reflects the brands DNA and the manufactures history. He gives an architectural dimension to the objet, in between sculpture and ergonomics. His designed is anchored in an always moving society where “things” must adapt to perpetual changes of usage and perception. Each project is an equation of riddles resolved in the combination of pertinent answers.

The project being artisanal or industrial, the design has the worthy and humble task to perceive the metamorphosis of our daily environment.

His whole approach to artistic creation was rewarded (recognized) at “The Sommet du luxe et de la creation” in Paris in 2002 and by The Talent de l’Elégance. Those instances acknowledged his ability to respond with accuracy and passion to a great diversity of brands and thems. In 2005, the collection Feelings, for Saint Gobain received the “Janus de l’Industrie” and a label VIA in 2006.

He had several press coverages: portraits and interviews in IDEAT, Connaissance des Arts, Elle Déco, Intramuros, Résidence deco, l’International Herald Tribune, le Financial Times, Le Monde or La Revue du Design…
