Leblon Delienne

Leblon-Delienne statuettes are the precursor of limited edition cartoon collectibles. Particularly faithful to this look is the "Clear Line" collection, which is characterized by the simplicity of its features. Leblon Delienne is now recognized as the pioneer of furniture design inspired by the comics.

The term clear line, "a style created from impulse, curves and colours that wraps dreams" (World Expo 1958, Brussels) is the echo "streamline" or streamlining, which literally means "the path of a brook." It is inspired by the aerodynamics of a drop of water.

Studio JBSB has designed a collection for Leblon Delienne consisting of full and rounded shapes, following the manufacturing technique of rotational molding.

Life cycle
The unique expertise of Leblon Delienne has been recognized by the French government, which has accorded them the right to use the label: "Living Heritage Company" (EPV or "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant"). Their essence is defined by the clean lines and the bright colors of their timeless creations of furniture from resin .

To respond to its mission for Leblon Delienne, Studio JBSB is inspired by a something Oscar Niemeyer said in 1958 : "It is not the right angle that attracts me, nor the straight, hard and inflexible, created by man. What attracts me is the free and sensual curve - the curve that I find in the mountains of my country, in the sinuous course of its rivers, in the wave of the sea, in the body of the beloved woman. Curve is what makes the whole universe."
